Eastnor Castle wedding for Matt & Lesley
We were first contacted by Matt’s good friend, Neil, who had been tasked to find an experienced wedding DJ to book on an all-day basis, for Matt & Lesley’s fairytale Eastnor Castle wedding – and this really is a wedding venue, fit for a Lord & Lady! As castle wedding venues go, an Eastnor Castle wedding really does have it all! The castle itself is imposing, majestic and highly romantic, complete with ‘tower-bedrooms’ – all very individual and grand. The castle has it’s own civil ceremony licence, with most couples opting to get married in the venues Gothic Drawing Room, which is absolutely stunning! This was the case for Matt & Lesley’s wedding. Lesley first descended the grand staircase, to be met by her Lord Jaffa, his burly group of best-men and their wedding guests. From here, their grand wedding procession took them past the Octagon Room and into the Gothic Drawing Room, where they were greeted by the sweet sounds of their string quartet, courtesy of Derek Walker from Midsummer Music.
As with all aspects of this castle wedding, their ceremony was exquisite. There followed drinks and photographs on the Upper Terrace, with the string quartet continuing to play and bouncy castle entertainment provided for the youngsters on the lower terrace. The sun shone bright, the champagne flowed and the photographic opportunities at Eastnor Castle seemed endless.

Following on quite naturally, wedding guests were ushered to the State Dining Room, where we played gentle background music and ensured that all went smoothly with the speeches, providing wireless microphones and ensuring that everyone was fully briefed. Andrew, Cheeky Boy, Cakes, Old’un, Trevor and Little Chris, all shared the spot-light for the best-man’s (men’s) speech, followed by Chief Bridesmaid (Vicky) and Matt, whose speech was legendary!
Cake cut, speeches delivered, we relocated ourselves to the Octagon Room, ready for the evenings festivities and merriment. Dancing continued all night, only to be interrupted by a mouth watering hog roast (Fit For a King) and the most spectacular firework display. All-in-all, an Eastnor castle wedding, offers the ideal castle wedding venue and one that we hope to be invited back to again soon.

Aside from strict instruction not to play Greece, UB40, Reggae & Nirvana were the order of the day.
